WoW-V & SICKind Registration/Auto-banning fixed Apr 17 2012 11:49 AM
Turns out having IPB's spam service enabled while using the CloudFlare service is a baaad idea. Why? Because it thinks basically everyone is coming from the same IP, and it got flagged as a spammer and was auto-banning damned near everyone registering yesterday and today. MASSIVE apologies to those impacted, but thank goodness we caught it this quickly. I've unbanned all flagged accounts and changed how our services interact so that there will be no problems. If you were impacted, I give you full freedom to scream your head off at me in this thread. I should have figured that would happen and didn't do the proper research into the sudden wave of supposed bots. I even ignored common sense that told me the accounts weren't similar enough to be your typical bot. So, SO sorry guys and gals! Will not happen again. 5 Comments
WoW-V Officially Hooked up to SICKind! Apr 03 2012 12:45 AM
The login system for the creators has finally been moved over. All logins can now be done using SICKind, meaning new accounts will finally work with WoW-V. A lot of areas still need to be tweaked, but this is the primary use of WoW-V, so I figured I'd do it first. If there are any problems, please let me know! A lot of tiny bits of code had to be changed, so who knows if something was missed. There is one slight downside, however... due to how browser security works, the sessions between SICKind and WoW-V cannot be shared. This means you can log in and out of either site independently. If you stay logged in all the time this shouldn't be an issue, but if you don't you'll find that your sessions will log out at different times on SICKind vs WoW-V. This is unfortunately not something we can fix at the moment. It would require a major app creation to make it a true "single sign on" system, and we just aren't ready for that yet. And to anyone confused, SICKind and WoW-V share the same account system! There is no need to create another account if it shows you as logged out. Simply try your existing account login info and you'll be logged in! 6 Comments

The WoW-V wiki is now back online. My apologies for it being down so long, I didn't realize it was down until just now. It should function like normal, although we will likely be removing the old style of wiki access (ie: forum integration) and just making it a general access wiki. 0 Comments

So here is the deal with what WoW-V will become. In a very small nutshell:
I will start with the creators and misc. tools and hook them up to the SICKind login system. During that time there will be no access to sharing or saving (or anything other than the creators and other misc tools) as I'll have to do some extensive changes to that system before it will work. After that I'll get the "save" stuff up and running. The last priority is the "shared" item archive. 0 Comments

WoW-V is currently moving homes. We can't exactly close the forums because of how SMF handles things so just know that any new accounts/posts/etc. that happen to be made will be lost (otherwise everything will be carried over). As such, ALL avatars are being removed to make way for the move (you'll see why when you see it). WoW-V's new forum home, etc. will be linked here once it's up and working.
